Shabbat Parashat Veyechi, Jan. 6-7, 2012

Wow! It's late Thursday night and I haven't even begun to prepare for Shabbat! Oh no!

Here's the plan:

Homemade Challot from the freezer

Vegetable soup

Roast chicken for Fri nite

Baked shnitzel for lunch

Tofu lo-mein for vegetarian son

roasted cauliflower (this week i scored cauliflower for 1.50 NIS/kg!!!)

spicy roast potatoes (potatoes for 1.50/kg!!)

eggplant and tahini salad

maple roasted butternut squash

carrot kugel (carrots for 1.50/kg - not bad)

make your own salad (we have tomatoes, - I know I bought some but when I was unpacking groceries I missed them. hmm. is there a bag hiding away somewhere? - yellow pepper, carrots, cucumber, kohlrabi, fennel (which I will dress with lemon juice - we have a lemon tree!)...

vegetarian cholent for lunch

chocolate chip squares

The question is, will I pull it off?
