Last minute supper

I had a supper plan for the week, I know I did. But when it came down to it, it felt completely uninspired. So I wasn't inspired to prepare any food.
But wouldn't you know it, suppertime came, and even though I was uninspired, everyone still wanted to eat?

Here's what we pulled together (trying not to shop this week, not sure if I can stick with that):

Asian inspired vegetable-noodle soup with soy sauce and ginger (vegetables were onion, carrots, cabbage, and the wilted red pepper I found)
Red potatoes (served with ketchup) - I boiled these because I ran out of time to bake them
Spicy green beans, cooked in the cast iron pan

That was all I figured out, but I don't think anyone starved. I know it seems like it was missing a protein - but I think we'll be ok. (Maybe I should have made lentil "meatballs" but I served those at lunch!)

What do you pull together when there isn't much around?
