Free Help Filing Israeli Taxes for Last Tax Year (2023 taxes)!

Every year, many of us have to file a yearly tax report with the Israel Tax Authority.

Many, many people pay an accountant to handle this report, but did you know that in some cases you can also get FREE help?

Here's the deal:

The Israel Tax Authority runs Free Clinics for filing yearly tax reports: this year, assistance is available for Atzmaim (freelancers/self employed people) with income up to 60,000 NIS using Form 137, people who need to file a tax report using Form 1301, and employed individuals requested a refund using Form 135.

Find this help HERE:

Regional Tax Offices will operate these services between May 5, 2024 and June 26, 2024, Sundays and Wednesdays from 1pm - 6:00pm.

Some offices may be closed on certain days of the week. I recommend calling before you go to verify they are open!

In Eilat, the service will be available only on Mondays and Wednesdays. In Um Al Fahem, the service is only available on Sundays.

NOTE: These clinics are ONLY for getting help filing your yearly tax report or a request for a refund for employed people (only forms 1301, 137, and 135).

Bring ALL your relevant paperwork with you so you can get the most accurate assistance.

Good luck!

Free Gift Cards and more - one way to get them

I'm going to assume that if you're reading this, you really appreciate FREE stuff! Sometimes, the only free things you can get are pretty useless junk, but sometimes there's actually something really worthwhile out there!

If you're a Clalit Mushlam member, there's a way to get points towards a VERY WIDE variety of free things that you may be currently missing.

So if you are, indeed, a member of Clalit Mushlam, you're paying a monthly premium for the plan. This plan gives you discounts on things at Clalit pharmacies, and some health-related perks, like the ability to see a private doctor for a copay that is much less than the cost of going fully private. So here's a perk you might not have heard of:

Clalit Active. This is Clalit's healthy lifestye app, where you accumulate points for completing health-related goals. You can redeem those points for rewards. We've gotten health-related items, like a Mi swartwatch, exercise equipment, and a massage gun. We've also gotten gift cards for stores like MegaSport, and even Lenovo earbuds. You can also redeem them for things like discount admission to pools, and health clubs, wipark admission, electric toothbrushes, smoothies, shakes, high coverage swimsuits, discounts on Clalit Mushlam complementary health services, and more (the list changes from time to time).

Now, everyone knows I'm not exactly a big exercise buff, but even I go walking and eat things and drink water, so it's pretty easy to get points! And redeeming them is fun and rewarding!

Want in on it? Just click this link from your phone to get it! And if you use referral code JPAJKYK, you'll get a 600-point sign-up bonus - there's a section called מישוש חבר מביא חבר where you enter the code - find it when you tap on the menu a the bottom far right of the app screen. Be aware that you have to put the code in on the same day you activate the app to get the bonus. When you use my code, I'll also get a bonus, so thank you in advance for using it!

So, do you want to start getting more things for free? Join and start today. And please share this post with anyone you know who might want to join!

Free samples! (New ones!)

Today's deal: FREE SAMPLES!

Don't you love freebies - specifically, useful freebies!?
Of course you do!
So I'm really excited to be able to bring back the Freebie section of this blog - today I found two freebies to share with you.

First up, grab a free sample pack of Flexitol skin cream products! (These are intense skin repair creams, and really great!)

Screenshot from www.altman.co.il

Next, you can grab a sample of Perskindol pain relief gel. They make two versions, and I believe you'll need to choose which one you want to sample - the "active" version or the "thermo" version.

You just have to fill out basic information (name, address, etc) and they'll send you a sample pack in the mail.

In my experience, they often send a coupon towards your next purchase, too.

Hope you found this helpful - if yes, please share this blog post!

And don't forget to join my groups:

See you there!

FREE things!

Sometimes we all need to chill, and it's great to have some options for free entertainment!

Obviously, everyone knows about the myriad of free parks and places to explore around the country (don't worry, they're easy to find!), but sometimes I want to stay at home and chill and watch a movie.

But movies are not usually available for free! There are a lot of "free" steaming sites that are not actually free - they might only show a trailer, or they might give your computer a virus!

So many of us pay for access to online content - it's the best way to get full access and avoid delays and viruses...

But did you know that sometimes there really are legit ways to watch for free?

Check these out:

Watch 4,000+ free movies online at Open Culture

Access 1,000+ free audio books at Open Culture

Access free educational resources at Open Culture

There are also courses and other opportunities at Open Culture - definitely something to check out.

Check out this website for access to free movies available on a vairety of paid websites - they often have a promo with a free movie. This site shows you what's available for free access right now.

You might also want to check out this guide to the best safe and legal streaming sites: Click HERE

I'm sure you've got your own favorites for free movies and shows - drop a comment below and let me know which one you like!

FREE Help filing your Israeli taxes!

Every year, many of us have to file a yearly tax report with the Israel Tax Authority.

Many, many people pay an accountant to handle this report, but did you know that in some cases you can also get FREE help?

Here's the deal:

The Israel Tax Authority runs Free Clinics for Atzma'im with income from self employment up to 60,000 NIS using Form 137, and other people who need to file a tax report using Form 1301.

Find this help HERE:

Regional Tax Offices will operate these services between May 8, 2022 and June 30, 20022, Sunday - Thursday from 1pm - 6:00pm. Some offices may be closed on certain days of the week. I recommend calling before you go to verify they are open!

In Eilat, the service will be available only on Mondays and Wednesdays.
In Um Al Fahem, the service is only available on Sundays.
In Ashdod and Rishon Letzion the clinic is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-6pm
In Tel Aviv, there is a special Resource Center dedicated just to this service, and it will remain open until July 28, 2022. Find it at Rechov Shefa Tal 12, Tel Aviv.

NOTE: The Tax Authority is not offering assistance with other issues at these clinics. They are ONLY for getting help filing your yearly tax report (only forms 1301 and 137).

Good luck, and don't wait to do your taxes! Better just to get it done with, right?

FREE courses and resources

I woke up this morning and saw an ad in my social media feed. It was for a "FREE" digital marketing course. And I was so excited. Someone wanted to teach me to improve my digital marketing for FREE!

Sounds so awesome.

I was ready to sign up.

Until I discovered the $150 registration fee. Making it decidedly NOT free. Not overly expensive, but still not free.

Now, that doesn't mean that a course with a fee isn't worth it - it might be. And people pay varying amounts of money for different kinds of training. But I didn't like the marketing tactic of "here's something free" that then asked me to pay.

So I decided to dig a little deeper and find what's free out there. And discovered that we can ALL access a lot of TRULY FREE courses, by accessing Google Digital Workshop. My initial search showed me that 156 courses are available! One, the Digital Marketing Course, has a cost-free certificate. The others are courses without certificates, it seems.

To get started, I clicked the "Register" button and then used an automatic "login with your Google account" option. Most of us have Google accounts, so this is super easy.

It looks like the courses are all available to do at your own pace. You don't need to be available at a certain time to hear a lecture or attend a workshop, which is really good for people like me with a constantly changing schedule.

I'm really excited about finding this free knowledge base that is available to anyone who wants to use it! What an amazing resource! Thanks, Google!
