Shabbat Menu

Wow, what a week it has been!

We are all quite tired out here from having a super busy week that included the emotional roller coaster ride known as Yom Hazikaron and Yom Ha'atzmaut.

It is definitely a "take-it-easy" Shabbat.

Here's the plan:

Homemade Challot from the freezer

Vegetable Soup for Friday Night

Black Bean Cholent with Vegan Kishke (from the freezer - recipe coming soon!) for lunch

Chicken Wings 3 ways - with date honey & ginger, spicy garlic and smoked paprika, and crispy oven-fried

(Some sort of tofu for the vegetarian)

Apple Crisp (I finally posted the recipe!)

Roasted Potatoes (so easy!)

Roasted Broccoli (so easy!)

Chocolate Rice Crispy Squares for dessert

Seudah Shlishit will be random things we have around. Veggies, fruits, chumus, peanut butter and jelly, etc

What's on your menu this week?

  1. Thanks for the apple crisp recipe. I was never quite sure what it was. We call it apple crumble but it would always be a dessert and never a side dish in the main course.
