Thinking of buying a SodaStream?
I've been debating getting one, because in the summer we seem to go thru a lot of seltzer... There is only *SO* much plain or lemon water I can handle! I go back and forth, but right now I'm leaning towards getting one. I think the investment will pay off sooner than I'd initially calculated...
AND, they seem to have a summer deal going on right now!
Also, if you buy one, make sure you look around for the best price you can get on refill cartridges - it may well be that you'll find a significant difference in the price at the supermarket or hardware store than from their online shop. I've been told online may be less expensive.
What do you think? I'd love to hear if you think it's worthwhile to buy one of these.

I've been wanting to buy one for months, but my husband keeps resisting. What's the sale price you've seen it at? Our local macolet sells them I think for around 270nis. I don't know if that's considered a good price or not though.
ReplyDeleteHi Yoshtam,
DeleteIf you click on the big red soda stream picture, it says they have a deal for 250 shekels right now.
Fill in the form at the bottom of that page and someone will contact you to see if you want to order. You'll be able to ask all your questions.
I buy the 100% concentrated apple juice and we make it up with bottled soda water. Much cheaper and healthier than buying sugary fizzy drinks. I don't know how it compares to soda stream prices though.
ReplyDeleteI'm posting a comment from Marianne:
ReplyDeleteWe love our soda stream - we were hauling home so many bottles of seltzer a week, it was outrageous. And here in Ramat HaGolan we get Maayden spring water from our taps!
So, we love it. But, the new models come with electronic features and lights come on when you use it. Not usable on Shabbat and Hagim - a real problem since that's when one might have guests and need to make lots of soda water.
Please post that folks should look for the older modesl that don't light up. Thanks.
