I don't normally post on Thursday nights, but we ended up swapping pizza night this week - we had that Wednesday instead!
So here is my very simple plan:
Macaroni & Cheese
Cut vegetables (we have tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and carrots)
Some sort of dip for the vegetables
Watermelon
I'm hoping to get my Shabbat menu planned and posted very soon. What's your plan?
I started this site because so many of the frugal food sites I love are just jam-packed with recipes that are decidedly un-kosher. And lots of other frugal living sites are extremely religious, and not in a Jewish way. And that just wasn’t working for me. I hope that I can share some ways to be frugal AND kosher. And share some of my thoughts about our life since making Aliyah. Oh, and if you share my recipes, menus, musings, etc, please link back to this blog. Thank you.

Tell why you switched pizza night. :D
ReplyDeleteI have at least 1 vegetarian for Friday night meal, so I'll make both chicken soup and pea soup. The pea soup is very easy-500 gr dried peas, carrots, onions, water and salt. Shabbat Shalom!
ReplyDeleteYonina, I love split pea soup! I make mine with celery and garlic along with the ingredients you mentioned. oh, and plenty of freshly ground black pepper! Shabbat Shalom!
ReplyDeleteSorry scimonster, some things are TMI. :-)
