Discount Attractions and Entertainment!

(This post contains affiliate links. I may receive a commission when you make a purchase. Thanks for your support!)

I love being able to bring you the best of Groupon's deals - some of these you definitely don't want to miss!

Sometimes, the best way to get from Point A to Point B is with a car - and that's why car rentals are awesome for people who don't own one! I'm really happy to tell you that Groupon has brought back the Budget Car Rental Discount - as low as 77nis per day! Some things to keep in mind: these vouchers must be used by March 22, 2018. You can buy up to 14 of them and use them consecutively to customize your rental period (use for rentals between 1 and 14 days at a time). Includes up to 99 km/day.  Additional kilometers will be charged extra. Pick up and return at the airport will incur additional fees. Pick up or drop off in Eilat will also incur additional fees. No refunds on unused Groupons if you have to end your rental contract early.

Click here for Restaurant Deals -- if you're going out, do it the smart way and buy a discount voucher first!

Money Saving Tips: Discount tickets

We all know that "Doing Something" in Israel can cost a pretty penny. Especially for any families or groups that have a significant number of people (i.e. more than three, usually).

So I thought you should know that sometimes there are ways to save, even if you can't always get free admission (see this year's list of Free Attractions here!)

Here are some tips I've found.

1. Check Groupon and other discounters for special deals

2. Check your destination's website for printable coupons

3. Check if advance purchase will save you money
(Hint: It will at Madatech in Haifa!)

4. Use apps like Cuponofesh to get access to coupons on the go!

5. Get a discount membership to the National Parks (usually worth it if you will visit more than 3 parks in one year, in some cases maybe fewer)

(Some old photos of "doing things")

Good luck finding deals - let us know if you found any great ones!
Have fun on your outings!

Free access to BrainPop Israel

Brainpop Israel is opening up their site for free while "Operation Protective Edge" is going on.

In a goodwill gesture to the many children stuck at home for the summer, due to camp closures for safety reasons, Brainpop is giving access to their Hebrew and ESL programs!

So, if you (like me) wanted to see if Brainpop in Hebrew is as good as they say, let your kids try it out!

You'll still need to login, so use username and password שקט (for both)

Click to go to Brainpop Israel

I'd love to hear what you think of brainpop - let's compare notes!

Sorry - I have no way of knowing when this promotion will end.

Free attractions on Yom Ha'atzmaut 2013

65 Historical sites will be open and FREE on the 65th Yom Ha'Atzmaut, next week!
These are sponsored by Misrad HaTarbut V'HaSport and the Mo'etza L'Shimur Atarey Moreshet.
That is April 16, 2013, just so there is no confusion.

I'm sure there are other places that are offering free programs or free admission.
Please add information for other places in the comments, or send a note to ester@kosherfrugal.com and I'll add it in! Thank you.

I have tried, wherever possible, to link to websites in English. There were some museums/historical sites that only had Hebrew websites, though. My apologies in advance.

Have a wonderful Yom Ha'atzmaut. May it bring us closer to the Geulah Sh'laymah!

p.s. I just stayed up way too late researching and translating this list, so please share it with all your friends, so it will have been time REALLY well spent! :-) Thanks!
