If you're one of the people who had gotten used to stocking up on certain items when you traveled, this post is for you!

Today's deal is all about OTC meds. You must know by now that they are more expensive, in general, in Israel, than in the USA, and a lot less convenient too. Here in Israel, usually OTC meds come in small containers (20-30 pills!) but many of us had gotten used to buying bulk-size packaging in America! Like 100 or more in a bottle...

So for convenience plus price, I really wanted to stock up in America, but no one in my family is travelling right now.

I personally don't drink Starbucks coffee, but I know a lot of ex-pats all over the world really miss it. So today I went searching for a way to help a friend, and here's what I found:

We all need to buy basic hygiene products, right? Unfortunately, they can be pricey here in Israel. Sometimes I find great deals in stores, but ebay still usually beats them! Dental floss is usually 20 shekels and up per 50m package, for example...

So I decided to ebay them - you've got to see this!

Today's deal is PERFECT for those of you, like me, whose kids constantly ask for expensive biking accessories.

My kid has been bugging me to get cycling gloves for him. So I finally agreed. And then -- I was shocked when I saw the markup at all the local stores (and even the internet-based Israeli stores)! I mean, serious price gouging. We are looking at about 80 shekels per pair, even for the cheapest ones!

So I decided to ebay them - you've got to see this!

I'm ordering several pairs of these right now! I'm not going to kid myself and think they'll last forever, but at this price point, I honestly don't care very much. Biking is a really pricey hobby and I've got to find ways to help my son keep it up, without going broke!

Today's deal is PERFECT for the frugal bakers out there who like to make things from scratch!

Vanilla Beans - you just score them with a sharp knife and toss these into a bottle of vodka, keep in a dark cabinet for a few months, and you're good to go with the best vanilla extract you can find! I'm sure there are other things to make with it too... I've ground up some beans to make vanilla bean ice cream - but I need to work on that recipe a bit.

Here in Israel, lately it's gotten hard to find vanilla beans. I know some of you out there have found them, but when they are here, the prices have gotten a bit steep - about 10 shekels per pod is the average I've been seeing.

So I decided to ebay them - you've got to see this!

So let's compare that with this listing - It comes to about 105 nis (and free shipping!) for approx 20 beans (a bit over 5 nis per bean). This is almost a 40% savings! The 3 nis per bean is not so big, but 20 beans - well, that's a 60 nis savings! You REALLY can save big time using ebay for vanilla beans!

I'm starting with one of those super important, essential toiletry items that we all need to use daily. 

Deodorant.

I buy Dove deodorant. Here in Israel, a stick of Dove deo is 50g in size. And prices vary. Last time I bought it here, I felt like I found a STEAL for 12 nis per stick! Usually it's 15 on sale, 20 at "discount" pharmacy stores, and about 28 nis if you buy it at full price at Superpharm (ahem, don't do that!!).

Enter ebay into our equations. You've got to see this!

Check out the screenshot on the left here - you can find this listing at https://ebay.to/2ncztBB -- Here's a Dove deodorant stick. It's not 50g like the ones I mentioned above. It's 2.6 oz, which comes to close to 74g - almost 50% more than the ones sold here in Israel.

And look at that price! It's about 13 nis, with free international shipping. With a household full of people who use deodorant, I feel like I am REALLY saving big time using ebay for this purchase! When they put that sign up at the store that in Europe Dove deos cost a bit over 8 nis, I was jealous. But with this ebay deal, that's about what this comes to for 50g! Awesome!
