Size: 100g, 150g packages
Production Dates: 5.07.18 
Use By Dates: 4.08.18

The recall also included 100g packages with an expiration date of 27.07.18, which has already passed. If for some reason you froze this product, take note!


These products are being recalled due to listeria contamination.

Consumers who have purchased this product are instructed not to eat it. Please call Shamir Salads customer service at 1-800-701-701 to arrange your return.

Lead Warning - Commercial Coffeemakers

Initial tests show that some models (about 50% of those tested) of commercial coffeemakers are producing coffee with higher than acceptable levels of lead. (These machines produced coffee with 20-150mcg lead per liter.)

The Ministry of Health is currently beginning further testing, in order to determine which coffeemakers are leeching lead into the water used for making coffee, and those models will be removed from the industry, or repaired.

In order to avoid exposure to lead, consumers are advised to minimize the consumption of coffee that has been made in commercial coffeemakers (the kinds used in coffee shops, hotels, restaurants, and workplace kitchens). Pregnant women and other at-risk groups are advised to avoid these coffees altogether until tests are complete. 

Coffeemakers that fail the heavy metal test will need to be repaired or replaced.

Garlic Warning!

 

A ton of garlic that was deemed inedible and not fit for sale was stolen from Kibbutz Hulata in northern Israel.

The garlic was treated with a pesticide that rendered it unfit for consumption.

The authorities fear the stolen garlic will show up in the open market and will be sold by weight, and are warning the public NOT to purchase garlic sold by weight for the time being. Packaged garlic is deemed safe to use.

Salmonella Warning

The Ministry of Health has issued a warning that Stuffed Cabbage, sold frozen, made by "Irena" (located in Ashdod), may be contaminated by salmonella.

This affects the batch that was manufactured on 23/1/2013, with a sell-by date of 23/3/2013.

Consumers are warned not to consume this product.
