Shabbat Menu planning

It's Thursday already! The week has really flown.

Time to plan out my Shabbat cooking so I don't get caught unprepared tomorrow:
The inexpensive veggies we found this week were: potatoes, carrots, cucumbers, kohlrabi, beets

Homemade Challot
Vegetable Soup, probably
Herb-Roasted Chicken - my kids' new favorite - and so easy! I just generously dress the chicken with onions, garlic, tons of herbs (like parsley, oregano, dill, basil, whatever i have on hand) and crushed black pepper, and roast in the oven till done.
Beets - simply prepared. my kids won't eat them if I dress them up!
Roasted Potatoes or Potato Kugel - haven't decided yet.
Carrot Kugel
Cucumbers and Kohlrabi
Cholent for lunch

Some sort of Breakfast "Treat"
Chocolate Chip "Mandelbread" (without the almonds)

Seudah Shlishit is usually peanut butter and jelly or something like that... maybe I'll make some spreads, like chumus or vegetarian "liver"? Oh, and some shesek (loquat) from our tree! Have to remember to go pick some more before Shabbat!
