Shabbat and Shavuot

Crazy, it feels like we're having a 2 day chag. And we're in Israel!

I'm not planning to cook on Yom Tov this time, as I just don't feel like it. So I am up late now, trying to get enough done, but I'm too tired to continue so I figured I'd write up what I'm making so I won't forget!

Shabbat Food:

Vegetable soup
Cholent for lunch
Chicken in BBQ sauce
Rice
Carrot Kugel (from the freezer) IF my daughter insists she must have it
Beets
Something undecided for my vegetarian son
Make your own salad - we have cucumber, kohlrabi, tomatoes, and carrots

Shavuot Food:

Salmon in Honey-Teriyaki sauce
Broccoli and Cheese Casserole
Baked Ziti
P'titim ("Israeli couscous" in American)
Roasted Veggies or Ratatouille

Also making:

Homemade Challot
Banana Coconut Cake
Chocolate Chip and Coconut muffins
Chocolate Cheesecake
Brownies or Mandelbread or both

Vegetarian "liver"
Lots of Popcorn
??
Not sure what else...

Shabbat Shalom and Chag Sameyach!

    1. I believe so! Not that I have any idea what I'm doing - never hosted b4 - but I'm hoping I'll figure it out...
